Light On Light Through

You'll hear a little of this and lot of that on Light On Light Through - my reviews of great television series and movies, my interviews with authors and creative media people and their interviews of me, my media theory and political commentary, thoughts about my favorite cars and food and space travel, discussions of my music, and a few of my readings from my science fiction stories. In the first years, starting in 2006, I put up a new episode at least once a month.  More recently, it became more or less often than once a month, usually less often.  But in the Summer of 2020, I began getting more in the mood to podcast, and I began publishing a new episode much more often  -- Paul Levinson

Welcome to Light On Light Through, Episode 66:  Robert J. Sawyer Talks About FlashForward .... With less than a week to go until the premiere of FlashForward on ABC Television on September 24, 2009, 8 pm Eastern time - based on Rob Sawyer's novel of the very same name - I was delighted to catch Rob on the phone in Toronto for this sage, penetrating interview in which Rob reveals what it feels like to be on the verge of having his novel seen on screens around the world in this ABC series.  Rob takes us through the steps of moving from novel to screen, his admiration for the stellar cast, his clear vision of possible future paths for his FlashForward novel universe, at a time when everyone will be coming to know the slightly different story in the television series, and much more.  Whether you're a writer with dreams of seeing of your words on the screen, or a fan of great science fiction is this new golden age of television, this is the interview you'll always remember.

Hi Paul. I’ve just arrived here after you followed my profile on academia.edu: clearly that hook works!

This is an interesting podcast: some good insights into the writerly process.

Loving FlashForward too: the image of the guy walking through the stadium while most of the world is blacked out is incredibly powerful: you’d have to be in a coma not to want to find out why.

Well done Paul for moving back to this platform I got ten sites like this to make on Wordpress, might have to back down though Uni starts soon but I am subscribed to http://30DCspecial.wpdirect.com/ . Been a bit lost on the 30 day niche marketing scheme. Anyway I caught your Mevio show earlier this afternoon then followed the link here from good old myspace. Great interview Paul. Have a pleasant Sunday.
